On August 16th, my beautiful daughter Vanessa turned 30 years young. As a surprise I stitched this picture for her - 2 dragonflies joining - which symbolize the "V" for her initial.

Am 16. August wurde meine wundervolle Tochter Vanessa 30 Jahre jung. Als Überraschung stickte ich ihr dieses Bild - 2 Libellen vereint - welche das "V" ihres Namens symbolisieren.

… wird heute bis Sonntag auf der Messe „Nadelwelt“ in Karlsruhe vier eigene Arbeiten am Stand 87 der Deutschen Stickgilde ausstellen. Oh – das ist so aufregend, ich habe noch nie öffentlich ausgestellt!!! Was für ein irres Gefühl, wenn Leute meine Bilder fotografieren und nachfragen. Eine Dame kam 3x zurück an unseren Stand, nur um mit mir persönlich zu sprechen. Rechts sind meine zwei kleinen Bilder (siehe unten). Links ist der Feuerwehr-Quilt in Redwork. … will display four of her works on the fair " Needle World " in Karlsruhe at booth # 87 of the German Embroidery Guild today through Sunday. Oh - this is so exciting, I have never displayed publicly!!! What a terrific feeling, when people take photos of my pictures. One lady came back 3x just to talk to me. To my right are my two little pictures (see below). On the left is the fire fighter quilt in redwork. Close ups will soon be on the embroidery page of my website (juttas-home.de).

Some of you might remember I surprised my dear friend Ricarda a creative weekend at the Black Forrest for her birthday. The seminar was called "Painting with needle and thread". It was the 2. seminar I took and I can see the progress I made. Stitching is so relaxing - I just love it.

Manche erinnern sich vielleicht noch, dass ich meine beste Freundin Ricarda ein kreatives Wochenende im Schwarzwald zum Geburtstag überraschte. Das Seminar hieß "Malen mit Nadel und Faden". Es war mein 2. Kurs und ich kann meinen Fortschritt erkennen. Sticken ist so entspannend - ich liebe es einfach.

I replaced the trash bin with a quilt.
Dies ist mein fertiges Baby. Es ist die kreative Umsetzung des unteren Bildes.
Ich habe die Mülltonne durch einen Quilt ersetzt.

Letztes Wochenende durfte ich an der Generalprobe des Seminars "Malen mit Nadel und Faden" von Alexandra Röhrs, Rheinstetten teilnehmen. Noch einmal ein herzliches Dankeschön, das ich dabei sein konnte. Ich bin noch immer begeistert!!!
Es ist unglaublich, welch tolle Sachen Frau machen kann. Es tun sich neue kreative Welten für mich auf und bieten unendliche Möglichkeiten in Ideen, Material und Techniken. Hier ist mein unvollständiges Erstlingswerk aus dem Kurs. Ich werde das fertige Bild hoffentlich bald hier folgen lassen.

Last weekend I was allowed to participate the final trial run of the seminar „Painting with needle and thread” of Alexandra Röhrs, Rheinstetten. Once again a warm-hearted thank you, that I could be part of your seminar. I am still enthusiastic!!!
It is unbelievable which wonderful things woman can do. New creative worlds open for me and offer infinite possibilities in ideas, material and technologies. Here is my incomplete first work from the course. Hopefully I will publish the finished picture here soon.
